Upon the recommendation of the ASL Committee on Prizes and Awards, the winners of the 2013 Shoenfield Prizes for outstanding expository writing in the field of logic have been selected. The prizes were awarded formally at at the 2014 ASL North American Annual Meeting in Boulder, Colorado.

The Shoenfield Prize for an article has been awarded to Itaï Ben Yaacov, Alexander Berenstein, C. Ward Henson, and Alexander Usvyatsov for “Model Theory for Metric Structures,” published in Model Theory with Applications to Algebra and Analysis, Vol. II, (edited by Z. Chatzidakis, D. Macpherson, A. Pillay, and A. Wilkie), Lecture Notes of the London Mathematical Society, No. 350, Cambridge University Press, 2008, 315– 427. This prize carries a cash award of $1,000 to be shared by the winning co-authors.
