Application Deadlines 2023/2024

  • 1st period: 10 April - 05 May 2023 (except Biochemistry and Biomedicine, Cognitive Science and Mathematics, whose applications run from 19 June to 20 July and from 28 August to 01 September)
  • 2nd period: 19 June - 20 July 2023
  • 3rd period: 28 August - 01 September 2023

To apply to these courses, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree or legal equivalent.

Submit Application

 

Conditional Applications - requirements

1st period:

  • Applications: 10 April - 05 May 2023
  • Candidates with a minimum of 150 ECTS completed
  • Required documents:
    • proof of the approved curricular units, the total number of ECTS accomplished and the average of the course (Bachelor) to date (document taken from the academic system - FCUL students can get this document directly in Fenix under "myFenix » Services » Requisitions » Comprovativo Aproveitamento Curricular")
    • statement, under oath, indicating the student's situation and the average of the course (Bachelor) at the application date (issued and signed by the student).

The candidates admitted conditionally must present the Graduation Certificate or the proof of application for the respective Certificate, until 20 July 2023.

Important Note: “substitute” candidates in the 1st period will not be candidates in any of the following periods of the same Master's degree, unless they submit a new application in one of those periods.

2nd period:

  • Applications: 19 June - 20 July 2023
  • Candidates with a minimum of 165 ECTS completed or candidates whose degree only depends on the assessment in a project/internship/seminar/final degree work or on the release of grades of course units carried out in ERASMUS+ mobility.
  • Required documents:
    • proof of the approved curricular units, the total number of ECTS accomplished and the average of the course (Bachelor) to date (document taken from the academic system - FCUL students can get this document directly in Fenix under "myFenix » Services » Requisitions » Comprovativo Aproveitamento Curricular")
    • statement, under oath, indicating the student's situation and the average of the course (Bachelor) at the application date (issued and signed by the student).

The candidates admitted conditionally must present the Graduation Certificate or the proof of application for the respective Certificate, until 30 July 2023.

3rd period:

  • Applications: 28 August - 01 September 2023
  • Final year applicants who are still able to complete the degree in September and under the 2022/23 academic year, or whose completion of the degree depends solely on the assessment in project/internship/seminar/final degree work, to take place in September
  • Required documents:
    • proof of the approved curricular units, the total number of ECTS accomplished and the average of the course (Bachelor) to date (document taken from the academic system - FCUL students can get this document directly in Fenix under "myFenix » Services » Requisitions » Comprovativo Aproveitamento Curricular")
    • statement, under oath, indicating the student's situation and the average of the course (Bachelor) at the application date (issued and signed by the student).

Before the established dates for enrolment/registration, candidates must present/send the Graduation Certificate (the Certificate must mention that the academic year of graduation was 2022/23 or alternatively they can submit a declaration from the school stating that the graduation was in the academic year 2022/23).

Notices:

  • Candidates admitted conditionally in the 1st and 2nd period will have to present/send the Graduation Completion Certificate until 28 August 2023
  • Candidates who have made conditional applications and are admitted, remain with the conditional application until the Certificates of degree conclusion and course units are sent
  • Candidates who do not meet the submission dates for the completion certificate or for the request of the certificate will be excluded - all communications or sending of certificates should be made to the e-mail address candidatura-pg@ciencias.ulisboa.pt.

 

Payment of deposit (only for candidates admitted in the 1st and 2nd period)

As stated in the Despacho D/17/2023, accepted candidates in the 1st and 2nd period will be subject to paying a deposit of €65.00 under penalty of losing their place on the course to which they have been accepted.

Payment Instructions:

  • Access to application in Fenix (https://fenix.ciencias.ulisboa.pt/)
  • In the application, choose “Create Deposit Payment "
  • Consult the payment reference in the “Deposit Payment Details”
  • Complete payment.

Candidates who do not live in Portugal:

  • Payment must be completed through bank transfer:
    • N.º IBAN: PT50003508240001225203011
    • SWIFT CODE/BIC: CGDIPTPL

Immediately after the payment has been processed, the corresponding proof of payment must be upload in the application related tab and submit.

Once this payment has been made, the enrolment fee and the registration fee will be considered settled when enroling in the course.

In the eventuality that the course you have applied for is cancelled, the deposit will be reimbursed in full.

Deadlines for the payment of the deposit:

  • Candidates admitted in the 1st period: 5 working days after the publication of the course results to make the respective payment
  • Candidates admitted in the 2nd period: 2 working days after the publication of the course results to make the respective payment.

Tuition Fees

Annual tuition fees are set between 697.00 € and 3900.00 € (2022/2023 prices), according to the specifications of each course.

For students from other countries outside the European Union (International Students), there is a separate access regime and tuition fees.
