An international symposium that convenes researchers specializing in various disciplines focused on the terrestrial and marine flora and vegetation of the Macaronesian region (Azores, Madeira, Selvagens, Canary Islands, and Cabo Verde).

This course aims to explore ways of communicating science to non-specialized audiences, such as policy makers, industry, general public (including students and teachers), through their engagement and participation in citizen science activities.

The course includes several case studies of insect adaptation, and the most recent overview on insect evodevo, plasticity, ecophysiological responses and conservation under global change.

The course aims at enabling the participants to use different methods to measure the impacts of pollutants on ecosystems.

The goal of this course is to provide the participants with the most recent and practical knowledge on the use of Functional Diversity.

An annual event aimed to promote the research done by CIÊNCIAS Researchers in the field of Biotechnology, with a special emphasis on Blue and Green biotechnological solutions for a sustainable tomorrow.

Ao longo de 10 horas serão abordados temas tais como contornar as principais dificuldades na comunicação da Biodiversidade, como usar histórias, ou a importância dos conceitos científicos na hora de os comunicar.
