The 4th BIODIV Meeting will be held in person from the 26th to the 28th of April 2023 at the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Lisbon.
This year our motto is "Reinventing Science, for yourself and others”.
Driven by curiosity and the desire to know more, Science is always reinventing itself, so that Knowledge may evolve. In Science, we also find the need to share the knowledge we generate with society, making it more inclusive and accessible to everyone. But what happens when our interests change, and we find ourselves at a career crossroads? In this BIODIV Meeting 2023, we want to discuss what sort of challenges come from reinventing yourself, not only as a scientist - switching methods, areas, or subjects - but also more significant changes such as finding a new career outside of scientific research. We also invite you to reflect on how your scientific interests can help bridge the gap between Science and society, by discussing different ways to approximate researchers and the public.
