Application for admission to 2nd cycle exam (masters) must be submitted through the system fénix, in the status “ADMISSION TO EXAMS 2nd Cycle I Submit applications”.
After attaching all required documents and filling in all mandatory fields, you must “submit application for admission to exam”
Confidential dissertation / project work / internship report must be delivered in the Postgraduate Studies Area, during office hours.
Documents
- Application for admission to master's examinations;
- Statement for addition to the collection of the University of Lisbon;
- Supervisor(s)' statement on the conformity of the dissertation / project work / internship report to be submitted to examination (on letterhead of their institution);
- Final work (working version - PDF file);
- Curriculum Vitae (PDF file);
- Request and statement(s) from the supervisor(s) to change the title of the final work and/or change of supervision, on letterhead from the institution where they work (if applicable).
For the submission of confidential work:
Documents:
- Application for admission to master's degree examinations - confidential work;
- Declaration of availability in the University of Lisbon repository;
- Statement from the supervisor(s) regarding the conformity of the final work to be submitted for examination (on letterhead from the institution where they work) and indicating the reason for the confidentiality of the work;
- Request and statement(s) from the supervisor(s) to change the title of the final project and/or change of supervision, on letterhead from the institution where they work (if applicable).
- 3 to 5 copies, in digital format, containing a file of the final work (provisional and confidential version) and another of the Curriculum Vitae, both saved in PDF format.
- If CDs are used, they must be properly identified, with the cover printed in accordance with the ‘Final Work Cover Template’ and placed in the CD protector. On the cover, indicate (Provisional and confidential version).
For a confidential dissertation / project work / internship report, specific regulation should be followed.
Reading of the Knowledge Enhancement Policy Regulation of the Faculty of Sciences is advised.
Fees
Examination admission fee 100.00Euros.
The fee must be paid after the final work has been submitted and after receiving an email from the services, preferably via ATM reference, available in the student's personal area on Fénix (payment method for submissions via Fénix).
For work of a confidential nature, the exam admission fee must be paid at the time of the request, delivered in person to the academic services during office hours.

The final work layout should follow the Master Studies Regulation of the Faculty of Sciences.

Deadlines
Delivery of the working version:
Master's Programmes of 120 ECTS - until the last working day of September.
Delivery of the final version:
If approved, the student has 10 working days after the exams to submit the final version. This version must incorporate any changes agreed upon (if any) by the members of the jury and communicated to the student (if any).
The final version of the Dissertation/Project/Internship Report must be submitted via Fénix, with the status ‘Dissertation/Project/Report (FINAL VERSION) I To be Submitted by the Student@’.
The student must submit:
- 1 copy of the final paper (definitive version), saved in pdf format.
After attaching the document, you must ‘Submit (FINAL Version) - Dissertation/Project/Report’.
Delivery of the public version:
If approved, the student has 10 working days after the exams to submit the public version, which must be sent to gepg@ciencias.ulisboa.pt. This version must include all public information and changes (also public) agreed upon by the jury members and communicated to the student.
The student must send:
- 1 copy of the final paper (public version), saved in pdf format.
Resubmission
If resubmission of the dissertation / project work / internship report is proposed, the student has 60 non-extendable working days to proceed accordingly, unless the student states its intention not to do so.
