A atividade tem como objetivo apresentar criticamente, de maneira simples e intuitiva, os fundamentos teóricos na base de algumas hipóteses ligadas à chamada “filosofia digital” (ou “física digital”).

Jogo em forma de questionário através do qual se vão dando a conhecer, através das questões colocadas e da discussão das respostas dadas, conceitos, ideias e teorias em filosofia da ciência e lógica.

The Lisbon Circle will kick off this term. The reading group will meet fortnightly, on Wednesdays, from 14:00 to 16:00.

The reading for this term will be Ted Sider’s “The Tools of Metaphysics and the Metaphysics of Science”.

The book is based on Sider’s 2016 John Locke lectures at the University of Oxford. It “explores how changes in our metaphysical approach change what metaphysics tells us about the world” and “offers a new philosophical view of structuralism in science and mathematics”.
