Integration in non-archimedean real closed fields with archimedean value group (part 2)

Mário Edmundo
CMAF-CIO, Universidade de Lisboa

Abstract: In this seminar we present (some of) the recent the work of Tobias Kaiser (Univ. Passau) establishing, for the categories of semi-algebraic functions, globally sub-analytic functions and more generally constructible functions on non archimedean real closed fields with archimedean value group, a full Lebesgue like integration theory.

Evolution Processes generated by Semilinear Parabolic Equations

Carlos Rocha
CAMGSD - Instituto Superior Técnico

Abstract: We consider small nonautonomous perturbations of autonomous evolution processes generated by certain scalar semilinear parabolic differential equations. Extending the notion of Morse-Smale dynamical system to the nonautonomous framework we show that under generic assumptions the above evolution processes are Morse-Smale.

This is a joint work with Radoslaw Czaja and Waldyr Oliva.

On the mean Euler characteristic of Gorenstein toric contact manifolds

Miguel Abreu
Dep. Matemática - Instituto Superior Técnico

Abstract: In this talk I will prove that the mean Euler characteristic of a Gorenstein toric contact manifold is equal to half the normalized volume of the corresponding toric diagram. I will also give some immediate applications of this result. This is joint work with Leonardo Macarini.

This seminar is supported by National Funding from FCT - Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, under the project: UID/MAT/04561/2013.
