Ciências Research Day

Grande Auditório (3.2.14), Ciências ULisboa
Research at the Faculty of Sciences

Join us on 26 October 2022 for the 4th edition of Ciências Research Day, in which Ciências ULisboa showcases the best science made in this centenary institution!

We invite you to attend the presentations that will take place during the whole day in Auditorium 3.2.14 (Building C3, 2nd floor).

During the lunch time, bring a sandwich and join us on one (or several!) of the activities that will take place. Check the poster session taking place at the C3 Atrium - a valuable networking opportunity which can allow you to forge relationships for future collaborations. Also, participate in the side events related to research in Ciências ULisboa: from astrophysics to statistics, from science management to service provision. We will have from speed-dates with experts to demonstrations with equipment. Check the list of activities below - some require prior registration.

Participation in Ciências Research Day is free, but prior registration is suggested.

“Pitch your science! Boosting Sustainable Development Goals” Initiative

The Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (Ciências ULisboa) is committed to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Established in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly to be achieved by 2030, these are a set of 17 interlinked global goals that "provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future".

Does the work you are developing within the scope of your Master's or Doctorate at Ciências ULisboa contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals? Share it with the Ciências community and be candidate to a prize.

Through this initiative, we intend to stimulate science communication in a clear, rigorous, and captivating way, in the context of Sustainable Development Goals.

Applications are submitted individually, until 12 October, in the form of a three-minute pitch in English.
