A fundamental pillar in our cities is mobility. In this area we see the emergence of innovative solutions such as Uber, car sharing, scooter sharing and bike sharing. All these systems are now possible thanks to technological advances and, in particular, to digitalization. This type of systems generate a lot of data, however, today, most of the stored data is not used. This data have the potential to transform the world - how to fix failures before they occur through predictive maintenance, enabling a sustainable energy supply, reducing congestion through intelligent transportation solutions or intelligent factories that create individualized products. Estimates indicate that by 2020 there will be 20 billion connected devices, including mobile phones, appliances, buildings, trains, power grids, among others, in short, equipment that constitutes the critical infrastructure for our lives. The e-bike sharing service is a growing business worldwide and is becoming more a priority for a large number of cities, including Lisbon.
