Astroparticle physics is the rapidly evolving field of research at the intersection of astronomy, particle physics and cosmology. Experimentally, it combines the advanced instrumentation of particle-physicists with the highest standard of imaging the cosmos by astronomers. Theoretically, it connects the Big Bang model of cosmologists to the standard model of particle physicists. The study of the extreme phenomena in the Universe, the quest for its Dark Side and the neutrino nature understanding together with the information coming for the earliest time that we can probe are essentials for completing a picture that now is so veiled that we can see only 4% of it. I’ll go through the experiments in the different, fascinating, fields that compose this landscape.
