SPECIFIC PLAN FOR FIRST INTERVENTION AGAINST FIRE
In the event of a fire outbreak, any Science user must act in accordance with the General Safety Instructions.
In the event of a fire, the specific First Intervention Fire Plan (available only for authenticated Ciências users) must be activated by contacting the Science emergency number (20000 or +351 217 500 600) and then activating an alarm panel.
Finally, you should proceed as follows:
- Check the safety conditions and always remain in a safe place;
- Locate a colleague and ask him or her to accompany him/her, whenever possible;
- If possible, remove combustible materials from the vicinity of the fire source;
- Try to extinguish the fire with portable fire extinguishers or other means of first intervention available on site, WITHOUT EVER TAKING RISKS;
- If the means to fight the fire run out, or they do not work and/or if conditions worsen and you have to leave the area, you should close all the doors you can;
- When a member of the first intervention team arrives at the scene, they will take control of the situation and must follow their instructions;
- When leaving the place, you should not use the elevators, you should move by the stairs.
