O workshop destina-se a dar uma visão de alguns tópicos de investigação em Física de Partículas e Astropartículas a alunos de licenciatura ou mestrado em Física ou Engenharia Física Tecnológica. Estão previstas atividades laboratoriais e computacionais diretamente ligadas aos tópicos apresentados.
O evento é partilhado entre a FCUL (10 e 11 de julho) e o IST (12 e 13 de julho).

Abstract: After the Higgs boson discovery, and given the latest statistical flukes that stimulated a large number of theoretical papers, the interest of the experimental community is being redistributed among research topics in a quite different way than five years ago. Starting from my own experience and current research program, I will attempt to give some personal perspectives about how to make the most out of your research years at a general purpose detector at the LHC.
