CQE Days - Spring Meeting 2019

The main purpose of the event is to highlight original research trends shared within and between CQE’s new four Thematic Lines: Synthesis, Catalysis and Reactivity - SYNCat; Materials, Soft Matter and NanoChemistry - MATSoft; Sustainable Chemistry for the Environment, Energy and Manufacturing - SUSChem; and Medicinal and Biological Chemistry for Health - MEDLife.

Purely inorganic nanomaterials: new opportunities of boron clusters in medicine

Our invited lecturer is Professor Clara Viñas from Materials Moleculars i Supramoleculars, ICMAB-CSIC, Barcelona, SpainProf. Clara Viñas graduated in Chemistry at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 1975 and in Pharmacy at the Universitat de Barcelona in 1980. She worked as a pre-doctoral student at the Prof. Rudolph’s laboratory at The University of Michigan for a year.

Lessons from the Past: What do we learn from not respecting the rules of Green Chemistry?

Professor Marek Kwiatkowski (Faculty of Chemistry, University of Gdańsk, Poland) will be visiting us at the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department (Ciências, ULisboa) next week within the ERASMUS Programme, and will be our invited lecturer for the seminar entitled "Lessons from the Past: What do we learn from not respecting the rules of Green Chemistry?" on April 14th, at 14:30, at the FFCUL Conference Room (C1 building).
