Currículo Resumido
Ana Coutinho is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa (FCUL). She obtained a licenciatura in Biochemistry from FCUL and her PhD in Biochemistry (2000) from Universidade de Lisboa. She did postdoctoral studies at the Instituto de Química-Física "Rocasolano" (Dr. M. Pilar Lillo, Madrid, Spain).
Scientific Interests
The influence of lipid membranes on the molecular mechanism of fibril formation by amyloidogenic proteins/peptides.
Using fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) to study the conformational dynamics of membrane proteins.
