Water is a scarce resource under growing demand by the need to feed an increasing human population and to mitigate the path towards a drier world. Plants, which are the foundation of all kinds of terrestrial ecosystems, human-made or natural, also need water to survive and thrive. Achieving sustainable water use while maintaining or increasing the delivery of plant products and other ecosystem services is a major target that units all plant physiologists independently of their scale of work.
Understanding plant water relations at several scales under climate change is the theme of the XV Portuguese-Spanish Symposium on Plant Water Relations: “Water relations under climate change: from genes to ecosystem”.
The abstract submission deadline is 15 December 2021.
A iniciativa conta com a participação de vários membros de Ciências ULisboa.
