The implications of incorporating a 3-form field in cosmology and gravitation will be discussed. Specifically, it will be demonstrated how a canonical massive 3-form field can inherently produce accelerating solutions, thereby offering a viable description for both early (inflationary) and late (dark energy) epochs of accelerated expansion. By tailoring this field to static and spherically symmetric spacetimes, we will investigate solutions describing compact objects, with a particular focus on wormholes. Additionally, it will be shown how non-trivial constructions of thick branes are achieved resorting to a combination of the bulk symmetries and the internal gauge symmetry of the 3-form.
Short bio: Bruno Barros has done his PhD in FCUL, specialized in theoretical cosmology. Afterwards he did a postdoc in Cape Town, South Africa. Now he is here again in FCUL for another postdoc.
