The protocols entered into by the University of Lisbon allow students to undertake a maximum of 12-month mobility period at a university with which there is a cooperation agreement.
The University of Lisbon has entered into cooperation agreements with various countries, covering 4 continents.

Objectives:

• To promote multiculturalism, the circulation of scientific knowledge through the sharing of knowledge and experience, the enrichment of the overall university experience (academic, scientific, social and cultural).
• To give students the possibility of boosting their linguistic, cultural and educational knowledge through contact with other countries and their education systems;
• To enrich the educational context of the receiving institution;
• To promote cooperation between institutions that organise student exchange programmes; to contribute for the enhancement of society as a whole, by forming a more qualified youth with an open mind and international experience.
