Welcome to the Department of Geographic Engineering, Geophysics and Energy (DEGGE)
The department is dedicated to energy transition, geophysical sciences and geospatial engineering to meet the challenges of the 21st century. From understanding earthquakes to climate modelling, from Earth observation to geospatial data analysis, exploring new opportunities for renewable energy and energy efficiency, we offer a wide range of learning and research opportunities.
Here, teaching is provided by academics who are also active researchers at Instituto D. Luiz - IDL (Associated Laboratory of FCT) ensuring continual scientific advancement and excellence. This means you'll always be up-to-date with the latest findings in scientific research within DEGGE's fields of study.
We are excited that you have chosen to be part of our community at DEGGE. Together, we will explore and face the challenges of our evolving world. Welcome!
