Curso no âmbito do Projeto SOILdarity, relativo à abordagem fundamental dos ecossistemas mais abundantes no nosso país.
O curso decorre entre 14 e 25 de novembro de 2022 (de segunda a sexta-feira será realizado virtualmente - Zoom ou equivalente -, entre as 10h00-12h00, em inglês e sob a responsabilidade do MIGAL Institute, Israel). Em três destes dias (a acertar brevemente - mais informações em www.soildarity.eu) existirão também aulas práticas, em Ciências ULisboa.
Pretende-se que os participantes adquiram conhecimentos fundamentais da ecologia do solo, características dos ecossistemas secos, e sejam capazes de identificar o solo como um elemento regenerativo da sustentabilidade ecológica. Também ficarão melhor habilitados para reconhecer e usar indicadores biológicos de saúde do solo.
Os temas a abordar serão:
- Systems Biology in Ecology & Agriculture;
- The S cycle in the rhizosphere. Adding perspectives and new players;
- Entomopathogenic fungi for the control of below and above ground soil pests;
- Transcriptomic-metabolomic profiling of soil fungi for soil health determination;
- Drivers of microbiome predator communities in soils and the resulting change in their function;
- Soil predatory mites as bio-control agents and members of the soil food web;
- Resistance–recovery trade-off of soil microbial communities under altered rain regimes: An experimental test across European agro-ecosystems;
- Effects of fertilizers and root stock on above ground pests;
- Effects of beneficial endophytic fungi on above ground pests;
- Soil microbes and invasive plant species.
