Por Cristiana Tiago.
Cristiana Tiago is 26 years old and graduated on Biomedical Engineering and Biophysics from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon in 2018, spending a few months in Padova (Italy) with the Department of Information Engineering. Also, in 2018 she was awarded her Master’s degree in the same field with a specialization in Clinical Engineering and Medical Instrumentation after spending one year at the Eindhoven University of Technology, closely with Philips Research, working on Deep Learning algorithms for Cardiac Magnetic Resonance images analysis. Her interests are mainly cardiac imaging processing and machine learning.
She joined GE Healthcare and the Marie Curie PhD programme, MARCIUS, in March 2020 as one of the Early Stage Researchers. The main objective of her project is to generate 3D echocardiography images using Generative Neural Networks and create a synthetic dataset of 3D images which shall be used for research purposes such as the development of a fully automatic pipeline to perform 3D myocardial segmentation and landmark detection using Deep Learning algorithms.
