O evento é destinado a estudantes, PhD e jovens pós-docs em física e engenharia, com o objetivo de mostrar as enormes sinergias existentes entre a física fundamental e a indústria.

O evento é estruturado em duas partes: uma escola (16 a 17 de março) e um simpósio (18 a 19 de março). Os primeiros dois dias serão dedicados aos cursos de Data Science atualmente usado em HEP (High Energy Physics) e física de astropartículas, enquanto durante o simpósio diferentes empresas apresentarão as suas tendências atuais, necessidades e trabalho diário relacionado à Data Science. Parte do tempo será dedicada a um data challenge, com a oportunidade para os participantes de apresentar os resultados obtidos durante o evento no último dia, 20 de março.

The event is aimed at students, PhD and young post-docs in physics and engineering, with the goal to show the huge synergies existing between fundamental physics and industry.

The event is structured in two parts: a School (16-17 of March) and a Symposium (18-19 of March). The first two days will be dedicated to courses on data science currently used in HEP (High Energy Physics) and astroparticle physics, while during the symposium different companies will present their current trends, needs and daily work related to Data Science. Part of the time will be dedicated to a data challenge, with the opportunity for the participants to show the results they obtained during the event on the last day, March 20.
