Homogeneous catalysis plays a key role in synthetic chemistry, design of materials/drugs, industrial, and biological processes. Its progress is dependent on the appropriate design of catalysts and use of adequate strategies, from metal complex catalysis, through nanocatalysis, and on to biocatalysis.
The International Symposium on Homogeneous Catalysis (ISHC) series (initiated in 1978) has provided a fundamental contribution to the chemical community for the discussion of new trends in catalysis and exchange of ideas.
All aspects of Homogeneous Catalysis, including metal complex catalysis, organo-, bio-, electro-, photo- and nanocatalysis, cooperative catalysis, heterogenized homogeneous catalysis, multiphase homogeneous catalysis, catalysis in unconventional media, noncovalent interactions in catalysis, mechanistic investigations, computational approaches, etc. will be highlighted in both already established and emerging fields.
