Por Matthieu Labousse (CNRS, ESPCI Paris PSL Research University).

Walking drops on Faraday waves are one of the rare examples of non-quantum wave-particle duality. A series of striking experiments with one walking drop has led to behaviors that were thought to be the peculiar to the quantum scale. I will present a recent numerical and experimental investigation involving the coupling of two walking drops. To our great surprise, we found that the statistical behavior of this system shares some non-expected features of collective emission of photons in quantum optics, including superradiance and violation of Bell's inequality.

Short bio: Matthieu Labousse is a theoretical physicist and works at ESPCI Paris -PSL as a CNRS researcher. His research is carried out in the laboratory Gulliver. He combines numerical, theoretical and even sometimes experimental approaches to investigate the physics of self-organization in complex systems including: programmable active matter, metamaterials, design of polymer systems, Waves and memory.

Gotas de água

O curso visa capacitar os formandos para a aplicação dos índices de qualidade ecológica utilizados na avaliação da qualidade ambiental em sistemas de transição, no âmbito da Diretiva Quadro da Água (DQA).

The conference aims to bring together key experts in the Medical Microwave Imaging (MMWI) field and will include invited talks, presentations and posters of peer-reviewed abstracts and conference papers, and workshops in satellite areas of research that are of interest to MMWI research.
