Abstract
It will be hypothesized that there is an internal relation between true contents and their evolutionary success conditions – the True-Fit Hypothesis (TFH).

We will start by showing how the TFH can be derived from within the roughly pragmatic Interactivist Theory-Model of Functions applied to contents as truth-bearers, while emphasis will be given to beliefs qua representations as vehicles of contents.

Then, the TFH will be shown to be able to ground one Evolutionary Argument (EA) for a hard version of Reliabilism that takes natural selection to be a reliable process (it produces Knowledge and/or is a warrantor of Epistemic Justification). This will be done by first
undercutting the usual rebutting of EAs while offering an interpretation of the evidence whereby the TFH is strongly supported.

Following a standard procedure of research centres all around the world, the CFCUL PERMANENT SEMINAR ON PHILOSOPHY OF SCIENCE aims to be a forum where researchers − teachers, resident fellows, visiting fellows, post-graduate students, centre members, other scholars and scientists, artists, etc. − can present and discuss their work (research work, preparation/draft of a paper, work in progress, etc.). This informal forum meets every two weeks on Tuesdays, from 11:00 to 13:00.
