This meeting is part of a series of successful field symposiums that started in the early 2000’s. The meeting in Lisbon and the Algarve (3-7 September 2017) will follow this tradition and will provide an opportunity for fruitful scientific discussions. On top of all the scientific challenges, we hope to provide a lively and enjoyable environment to all the participants.

These meetings gather together a considerable number of tsunami geoscientists ranging from young Ph.D. students to well experienced researchers. They have covered a wide spectrum of disciplines keeping the pace with research developments in the study of tsunami events.
