A. Personal Statement

Rui Gomes has been a university teacher for 34 years, with an academic load of 9h / week of theoretical and practical classes in courses with about 250 students. For twenty years he was also a researcher in the field of mitosis and cell cycle regulation in Drosophila. In 2011 he moved to the field of neurodegenerative diseases, stress and aging, and now he is carrying out genetics and molecular work in mice, rats and human samples
