Mapping the Dark Universe with Gravitational Lensing

Sala 1.4.14, FCUL, Lisboa

Por Ismael Tereno (IA/FCUL).

Abstract: The detection of gravitational lensing effects provides a way to infer the large-scale structure of the Universe and its formation process. Gravitational lensing is one of the cosmological probes that will be used in the Euclid mission to map the dark universe and investigate the properties of dark matter, dark energy and gravity. In this talk, I will introduce cosmological gravitational lensing and structure formation, and describe the on-going preparation of the Euclid space mission.
