Enumeration of rational contact curves: the irreducible case

Sala 6.2.33, Ciências ULisboa

Por Giosuè Muratore (FCUL, CMAFcIO).

Any odd dimensional complex projective space carries a unique contact structure. A recent article by the author used Gromov-Witten invariants to fully understand, given any Schubert condition, the enumeration of the integral (Legendrian) connected curves with rational irreducible components.

Nevertheless, the same problem has remained open for irreducible rational curves. We apply a stratification of the moduli space of stable maps to the contact case. This leads to an explicit solution for the problem even for irreducible curves.
