Por Daniel Heredia (CFCUL/GI2).

At present, Quantum Physics is one of the fields that guarantee the most complete knowledge about nature and its processes. However, this does not mean, at all, that it is irrefutable. Roger Penrose is one of the biggest figures that defend this statement. He has developed an entire theory, known as twistor theory, which tries to demonstrate that Quantum Physics is not complete. To develop and explain this theory, Penrose does not abandon the philosophical background that underlies it. The principal philosophical ideas that he exposes are determinism and mathematical platonism, with which he intends to justify his point of view about nature. Right now, is too early to say if this theory can achieve its goal, but Penrose is convinced that one day it will…
