Strategic Cooperation
In its various international structures, the cooperation with the Community of Portuguese-Speaking countries (CPLP) is of strategic importance for the Faculty of Sciences.
This cooperation takes form in the research area, in initiatives favoured by the researchers, and in the academic area, as usually hundreds of students from CPLP countries attend FCUL.
The Faculty of Sciences has entered into very relevant institutional partnerships with Brazil, Angola and Mozambique since 2009. These partnerships have benefited from the natural development of the universities and research institutions of those countries and from the cooperation policies with Portugal explicitly recognised by the corresponding governments.
These strategic partnerships particularly focus on the academic domain: degrees in partnership or association, cooperation in teaching, and hosting of students in all study cycles.
