Earth Physics: Understanding, Predicting, Finding Solutions

This Degree aims to train a new generation of professionals in the fields of Meteorology, Oceanography and Geophysics, with the ability to intervene in Earth monitoring systems, climate, ocean and solid Earth modelling and forecasting, natural risk assessment and extreme geophysical phenomena, and the quantification of energy (including renewable), water and mineral resources. Throughout the degree, students develop integrated skills in the field, data analysis, physical and data-driven modelling, and learn to find pragmatic solutions to real challenges.

The curriculum aims to provide a solid foundation in Mathematics, Physics and Programming, enabling interdisciplinary academic and professional paths in Science and Engineering. In addition, it provides up-to-date training in the specific areas of Meteorology, Oceanography and Internal Geophysics, in order to prepare professionals with practical experience in the use of the most modern technologies and with the ability to face the interdisciplinary challenges in these areas.
