“There are many times when I end up postponing going home to stay with colleagues who may eventually become lifelong friends and share the same areas of study. I have always felt a lot of openness and support from the professors, and I am even participating in research projects because of this way of being at our Faculty.”

Carolina Silva

Bachelor´s student in Biology

“My time studying at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon was very important in revealing what I really want to do with my life. Before, I didn't think much about programming, but some of the subjects in this course allowed me to discover that I really enjoy programming.”

Bruno Martins

Master's student in Biostatistics

"With my doctorate, I learned not to take work home and to better manage stress in the face of adversity. Furthermore, I feel more prepared for the job market because it allowed me to learn concepts and techniques that can be useful both for pursuing an academic career and working in companies."
