Applied Mathematics

The degree programme curriculum aims to provide a sufficiently broad and deep foundation in the core subjects (Algebra, Analysis, Geometry, Programming, Probability and Statistics) and then explores different areas through the choice of one of the following two branches:

  • Fundamental Applications: aimed at students who wish to deepen their mathematical knowledge and are interested in interdisciplinary applications in various areas of science, such as Biology, Physics, Economics

  • Statistics and Operational Research: aimed at students who wish to explore the methodologies of Applied Mathematics most commonly used in a business context, without prejudice to the appropriate conceptual deepening.
