• I am a CIÊNCIAS student without a valid account (students who are not currently enrolled in CIÊNCIAS study cycles) - you must access https://balcaoc.ciencias.ulisboa.pt/servico/criar-conta-utilizador to reactivate your account. Automatic account reactivation uses your mobile phone number and/or personal email address. If these contact details are not in our systems or are out of date, you will need to request activation directly at the IT Services Department counter (room 1.2.10). You can then access the application form in the ‘Candidate’ section.

• I am not a CIÊNCIAS student

  • Create an account at https://fenix.ciencias.ulisboa.pt/accountCreation

  • You will receive your credentials (format: User bennuXXX) by email (if you do not receive them, request that they be resent at https://fenix.ciencias.ulisboa.pt/passwordResetRequest)

  • Click on I am a CIÊNCIAS student

• Read the application manual (document being updated for 2026/2027)

For students from countries outside the European Union, there is a different admission system.

Throughout the application process, candidates will receive notifications by email and may consult the status.

All communication regarding the application will be sent to the institutional email addresses of the Faculty of Sciences, if applicants are students or alumni. If they are not students or alumni of the Faculty of Sciences but have or have had a University of Lisbon account (edu account), all communication will be sent to the institutional email address provided by the University of Lisbon. In all other cases, communication will be sent to the personal email address provided in the application.

In the case of students of CIÊNCIAS or alumni, applicants may, if they wish, forward messages received at their institutional email addresses to their personal email addresses. The annual tuition fees are set at €2,750. However, there are courses with different fees, so please consult the specific information for each course.
