The importance of Data Science is confirmed by the growing prominence of professionals in large companies and institutions, both internationally and nationally, with skills in data science, including data analysis, data processing, and data mining, among others. Internationally, several companies and institutions employ Chief Data Officers (CDOs), including large banking institutions, government departments, web companies, among other examples. Data science represents a ubiquitous area of knowledge in today's information society, and its importance and prominence are expected to continue to grow in the coming years.

Holdership of a degree or legal equivalent, including the possibilities provided for in the items b), c) and d) of paragraph 1, of Article 17, of the Legal Regime of Academic Degrees and Diplomas of Higher Education, published by Decree-Law no. 74/2006, of March 24, amended by Decree-Law no. 63/2016, of September 13 and amended/republished by Decree-Law no. 65/2018, of August 16. Candidates holding foreign qualifications must consult the regulations in force.
Academic Degree Classification (35%) + Academic, Scientific and Technical Curriculum (55%) + Professional Experience in the area of the Degree (10%) + Interview (optional)
