The Doctorate in Statistics and Operations Research is awarded to those who demonstrate in-depth and broad knowledge in the field of Statistics and Operations Research and who have carried out significant original research that contributes to expanding the frontiers of knowledge in this scientific area.
It is also intended that Doctorates in Statistics and Operations Research should be able to conduct research independently and lead research teams. They should also be able to critically analyse new ideas and methods and communicate with their peers, the academic community and society in general about Statistics and Operations Research, as well as the impact and added value of this area in other areas of knowledge and in society in general.
