Doctorate
The Doctorate in Physics and Astrophysics aims to prepare students to conduct original and independent research in a specific field of fundamental, applied or observational physics/astrophysics.
Students will be trained in the research skills and methods specific to this area and will contribute to scientific progress, in an academic or professional context, with the aim of completing a research project with new and concrete results, suitable for publication in international journals.

Master's Degree or legal equivalent in the areas of Physics, Astronomy and Astrophysics, Physical Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics or related areas.
Holders of a Bachelor's Degree or legal equivalent in the areas specified above or related areas, with a particularly relevant academic or scientific curriculum that is recognised by the Scientific Board of Ciências ULisboa as attesting to their ability to complete this cycle of studies.
