The Department of Mathematical Sciences offers a very flexible Doctoral Programme (3rd cycle) in Mathematics, fundamentally dedicated to the preparation of the doctoral student's thesis. The programme consists of: a one- to two-semester curriculum, which includes the research project for the thesis and may include optional graduate courses; research work leading to the preparation and defence of a doctoral thesis with original results, over the following three to three and a half academic years.
The study plan is drawn up individually for each doctoral student. The scientific diversity of the Department of Mathematical Sciences is reflected in the range of scientific areas offered.
