The participation of Ciências ULisboa in the share capital of legally independent entities is carried out in accordance with general law, the applicable provisions in the statutes of the University of Lisbon and the Faculty of Sciences, following a decision by the appropriate bodies.
According to the Ciências Statutes – specifically point h) of paragraph 2 of article 42 – the School Council of the Faculty of Sciences is responsible for deciding whether to establish, or participate in the establishment of, private legal entities:
