The Faculty of Ciências assumes its responsibilities in the evolution of the quality of Ciências education in Portugal. It has always done so by training teachers of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geology, and Mathematics. Many of today's Ciências teachers were once students of Ciências, and they come here whenever they need support. It is a task that we maintain, seek to improve, and adapt to new needs.
Thus, through several of its departments, the Faculty offers a range of training courses for teachers in the 3rd cycle and secondary education in different scientific areas.
