The University of Lisbon invites the whole community to take part in the IDEA Summit 2026.
The event brings together inspiring talks, panel discussions, cultural activities and social spaces, promoting the sharing of perspectives and the creation of an increasingly open, inclusive and diverse university.
The programme begins with a morning dedicated to TEDxULisboa – Tapestry of Tales.
This year, speakers will share stories that break silences and challenge boundaries – from education to sexuality, from art to neurodiversity – demonstrating how intimacy, pleasure and self-determination are human rights that demand recognition and social awareness. Through art, science and personal experience, the event serves as a meeting point between research and real life.
Here, researchers, students, professionals and members of the public are invited to rethink the systems that shape everyday life and to imagine new ways of fostering inclusion and participation.
To round off the day, the audience is invited to watch two special performances.
During the breaks, there will be a ‘Café Joyeux!’, providing informal opportunities to meet and chat.
Date: 16 May
