Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa

Venue

Lisbon is the westernmost capital city in Europe and the only one along the Atlantic coast. Throughout the ages, the Atlantic Ocean has exerted a strong pull on Portugal and its people. It has played a key role in the country's history, namely its overseas expansion - known as Voyages of Discovery - in the 15th and 16th centuries.

Lisbon has a Mediterranean climate with mild winters and warm summers. The typical summer season lasts about six months, from May to October, inviting many outdoor activities and a relaxed lifestyle.

The workshop will be held in Hotel Mundial which is situated in the heart of Lisbon, the Baixa Pombalina, with the historical St. George’s castle in the background and Rossio square just a few steps away. The hotel can be reached from the airport by subway (Green line – Martim Moniz station).
