Conduct and Ethics
Code of Conduct of the University of Lisbon
The University of Lisbon is bound to respect and safeguard the rights, freedoms, and guarantees enshrined in the Constitution of the Portuguese Republic and in the law.
In fact, since 2015, ULisboa has recognized, without prejudice to other rights protected by law, each and every member of the academic community, including visiting members, both the set of rights contained in the Charter of Rights and Guarantees and the adoption of best practices in the field of teaching, research, and the provision of services to the community expressed in the Code of Conduct and Good Practices, respectively, Annexes II and III of Order No. 6441/2015, published in the Official Gazette, 2nd series, No. 111, of June 9.

The University is a community of individuals who work together in the pursuit of research, teaching and other forms of service to society.
All members of the academic community of the University of Lisbon (academic and research staff, non-academic and non-research staff, research fellows, students and visitors) are expected to uphold the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in carrying out these activities.
Whistleblowing Channel
Any member of CIÊNCIAS, regardless of the nature of the relation or hierarchical position, including situations in which the established relationship has in the meantime ceased or has not been established, service providers and suppliers, may communicate through the Whistleblowing Channel situations or procedures that violate the applicable regulations, the defined policies, technical errors which may be detrimental to the interests of third parties, including acts of corruption and related crimes.
Moral and Sexual Harassment in Study and Work Contexts
Ciências is committed to preventing and combating all forms of behaviour that undermine the dignity of its members, establishing the guiding principles of a zero-tolerance policy towards such conduct, in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Conduct for the Prevention and Fight Against Harassment at the University of Lisbon.
