The objectives of this conference are: 

1-To provide a forum for presentation, discussion and transfer of knowledge among researchers and stakeholders sharing an interest in the Iberian Margin (Continental Iberia, Azores, Madeira and Canary archipelagos).

2-To produce a state of the art on the multidisciplinary research of the Iberian Margin within the context of global change, considering this context as a key-issue to achieve integrated and global sustainability.

3- To strengthen the understanding the Iberian Sea under the view of sustainable exploitation of living and non-living resources.

4-To promote the translation of research achievements into practice within the framework of the National Strategies for the Sea and Water Directive.
