Scientific Interests

Establishment of robust quantitative structure-property/activity relationships (QSPR/QSAR). Modeling and understanding of solute-solvent-solvent interactions underlying reactivity and equilibrium processes in solution. Structural characterization of conventional and non-conventional solvents and/or solvent mixtures. QSAR-based design, synthesis and biological evaluation of new active molecules with a relevant impact on public health, in particular new promising antitubercular compounds.

These studies rely upon the accurate assessment of different physicochemical and/or biological properties and upon the use of well-validated QSPR/QSAR procedures.
