Application for an Erasmus+ traineeship at Ciências

Erasmus Placements allows students to investigate in our research centres, keeping the student status.

If you are coming as a recent-graduate you will not be enrolled as a student.

How to apply

If you are interested in doing an Erasmus placement by joining a Research Group at Faculdade de Ciências, you should do the following:

  1. Find a Research Group or Centre in which you are interested in;

  2. Contact directly the Centre or the responsible person in charge. You should attach/send the following documents:
    - a cover letter/email presenting yourself, indicating the field of study you would like to work in, if you have any experience and the reason why you have chosen that particular Research Centre/Group. Do not forget to mention you are applying as an Erasmus Trainee;
    - Curriculum Vitae;
    - a Transcript of Records (containing the list of subjects, and corresponding grades, you have completed at your home institution by the time you are applying).

  3. If you have been accepted by the Research Centre/Group, congratulations! However, your application does not end here:
    - ask the responsible person for accepting you at the Research Group/Centre to issue and sign an acceptance letter;
    - contact our Office (by email is enough) in order to inform us of your acceptance and send us a copy of the acceptance letter.

  4. Send the signed Learning Agreement for Traineeships (this document should be provided by your home University) by email to internacional@ciencias.ulisboa.pt.

Application deadlines

You should contact the Faculty of Sciences Mobility Office already with the official acceptance from a supervisor and research centre at least two months before the start of your Erasmus placement.
