Lessons from complexity science for urban health and well-being

Problems of urban health and well-being emerge from complex interactions in changing environments and are prominent challenges for inhabitant, adding radical uncertainty to global development. To understand their consequences in urban systems and to establish effective problem-solving mechanisms, insights from complexity science require a fundamental rethinking of the role and responsibility of the human agency.
