The 11th edition of Ser Cientista will take place from 20 to 24 July 2026. Participation in the activity has a cost of 55 euros (lunches included), payable only if the candidate is selected.

Each participant who, in the 2025/2026 school year, is attending the 10th, 11th or 12th year may apply to the available projects through the application form, and will subsequently go through a selection process.

In the form, each participant may apply to more than one project, regardless of its scientific area. In addition to selecting the project(s) they wish to apply for, candidates must also rank them in order of preference. The form also requires the submission of proof of grades from the school year they are attending — referring to the 1st semester for schools with semester-based assessment, or the 2nd term for schools with term-based assessment. If you are unable to upload these documents in the form, please send them to us afterwards by email at dci@ciencias.ulisboa.pt.
The selection of students for each project will take into account the average of the two highest grades obtained in the 1st semester or 2nd term (chosen from the following subjects: Biology / Biology and Geology, Physics and Chemistry, Mathematics A, Descriptive Geometry A or Economics).

On the first day, at check-in, participants must present the authorisation form signed by their parent or legal guardian, or by themselves if they are over 18.
