Application requirements
Students may apply to enrol in courses leading to a Master's degree, provided that the following cumulative conditions are met:
final-year students who are missing up to two course units to complete their respective course;
the existence of unfilled places, after the end of applications for the respective academic year, in the study cycle leading to the Master's degree to which the course units that students wish to attend belong;
the request obtains the approval of the coordinator of the cycle of studies leading to the Master's degree to which the courses belong, clearly stating which courses students can enrol in;
students do not exceed the enrolment limit of 60 ECTS throughout their academic career.
The Academic Unit will reject applications that do not meet the above conditions (1 to 4).
How to apply
Students must submit their request through a single application. Applications must be submitted in person at the general student services office (building C5 - ticket B).
The application process must be accompanied by the following mandatory documents:
proof of academic success in the degree programme you are attending (students can obtain this document directly from Fénix under “Pessoal » Serviços » Requerimentos » Comprovativo Aproveitamento Curricular”);
approval from the coordinator of the study cycle leading to the Master's degree, to which the curricular units belong, expressly indicating which curricular units students can enrol in.
The list of courses and places available for application will be published here by 17 September 2025.
Selection criteria:
If the number of applicants exceeds the number of available places, the following selection criteria will be applied:
highest arithmetic mean, weighted by ECTS, of the grades obtained in the course units completed in the bachelor's degree (up to the date of application), calculated to two decimal places;
if there is a tie, candidates will be ranked according to the highest number of ECTS credits obtained in the academic year prior to their application;
if the tie continues to exist, the date of entry of the requests (date/time) will be considered.
More information available in the Order D/61/2025, of 22 July.
