Tiago Guerreiro, a researcher at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (CIÊNCIAS ULisboa) and vice director of LASIGE, has been included in the prestigious ACM Distinguished Members 2025 list by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the oldest and most influential international computing society.

Reserved for less than 10% of ACM members, the Distinguished Member distinction recognizes researchers with at least 15 years of professional experience who have made relevant and impactful technical contributions to the field of computing. By 2025, only 61 professionals worldwide will have received this recognition.

The researcher was recognized for his contributions to mobile, educational, and health technologies for people with disabilities, reflecting the significant impact of his work in areas of great social and scientific relevance.

ACM Distinguished Member Medal

With approximately 100,000 members from over 190 countries, the ACM is the world's largest educational and scientific organization in the field of computing, bringing together teachers, researchers, and professionals to promote dialogue, knowledge sharing, and responses to the challenges of the sector.
